Remy Auberjonois and Camille Mana will join the previously announced Jesse Eisenberg and Justin Bartha in Eisenberg’s off-Broadway playwriting debut, Asuncion, at the Rattlestick Playwrights Theater. Directed by Kip Fagan, the production will begin performances on October 12 at the Cherry Lane Theatre, with opening night set for October 27.
In Asuncion, Bartha will play Vinny, a progressive academic, opposite Eisenberg as Edgar, a left-wing blogger. When a young Filipina woman named Asuncion (Mana) becomes their third roommate, the pair have a perfect opportunity to demonstrate just how open minded they are.
Auberjonois has appeared on Broadway in The Country Girl and Frost/Nixon, and in off-Broadway productions at Atlantic Theater, the Public, Primary Stages, Studio Dante, Rattlestick and Soho Rep. Mana will make her off-Broadway debut in Asuncion. She made her big screen debut in Smart People opposite Dennis Quaid; other film credits include College, Why Am I Doing This, Speed-Dating and The Samurai of Strongsville, Ohio.
